The Howrah Bridge, short paragraph in simple words
OUR NATIONAL FLAG
India is an independent country and so, it has its own National Flag. It's the symbol of unity, integrity and sovereignty of this country. It got its National Flag on 22nd day of July, in 1947.
THE SPECIFICATIONS OF IT -
There are three colours in it, saffron, White and deep green. The saffron is on the top position, the White is in the middle and the dark green is at the bottom of the flag. Each colour conveys a definite meaning.
The saffron denotes sacrifice and selflessness. The White expresses truth and purity and the deep green is there to express courage and energy. The 'Ashok Chakra' is at the center of the flag. It's the symbol of peace and progress.
The National Flag is generally hoisted on important national days, like the Independence Day and the Republic Day. It keeps flying at half-mast on the days of national and International mourning.
Our National Flag is sacred to us. We must try to protect its honour, prestige, purity, sanctity, and worthiness at any cost.
